Finding Freedom and Creating a Life You Love

Hi! I'm Crystal. I'm a mama, a business owner and I am obsessed with helping you reach freedom in your life, no matter what that looks like. I created this space to share simple ways that you can reach your goals as a mama, as a fellow businesswoman, or as a woman looking to set and reach her goals. But before I dive into the "why" of this blog, I want to take a minute to tell you a little about myself.

Have you ever been to a meeting or event where someone asks you to describe yourself in a few words or "tell us 3 things about yourself?" In situations like that, I never know what to say. Do I stay surface-level and just tell you the basics? That's easy enough. On the surface, I am a mama to what I consider to be the best human on the planet. I’m a wife to a husband that I’m beyond grateful for. And, I’m an entrepreneur at heart…even though, that isn't always the easiest journey to choose.

But, deeper than that, who I really am…good and bad. I’m determined, resilient, strong, and funny. And I like to think fairly stylish for my budget. I am prideful, have a large ego, hate admitting when I’m wrong, and I’m selfish. I guess, simply put, just like the rest of us, I’m human. There are qualities about me that I really like, love even. But, there are other parts I have a tendency to hide and pretend aren’t there. These things are what have made me who I am today and they are why I am writing this blog.

When I had my daughter, everything changed. I started to think about what freedom meant to me. I always thought it looked like money, a title, and success as the world describes it. And although sometimes we like to pretend those things aren't important, success is still something I strive for. It is still something that is important to me. But, what I’ve come to realize is that my version of freedom now is more than just money and a title, it's having time and energy for my family.

Finding that freedom, that ability to be with my baby girl and still be an entrepreneur, to grow in business and thrive in something I love is a huge part of why I am writing this now. While I may not have everything together, I have built a life and a business that I am proud of. I want to share tips and advice that I have learned along the way, sometimes the hard way, with you. I want to help you find the time and energy for your family in simple ways that you may have never considered. I want you to succeed and know that you are doing an amazing job.

But, I also know that not every day is a success. Not every day is going to make it on the "highlight reel" and I'm here to share that with you too. We spend so much of our lives in constant comparison, trying to keep up with the Jones, and to be honest, I'm sick of it. So what you won't find here is perfection. I am here to share the real, raw, and uncomfortable parts of life with you. I'm here to remind you that you don't have to be perfect. I am here to encourage you and remind you that you aren't alone. I want to share real life with you and show you the humanity of womanhood, not just the polished, perfect versions.

Creating a life of freedom for myself and my family has been messy. It has been a process and to be honest, it has been a hard process! This past year has been one of, if not the hardest year, of my life. But because of that, I’ve been forced to stop and reflect. In this reflection, I have become obsessed with creating a life of freedom for my family.

I am figuring out day by day exactly what freedom looks like for me/us. And as I work to figure that out I’ve often thought about all the other tired, too busy, grinding women out there just trying to do the same. So, now, I’m passionate about not only creating my own unique version of freedom but, also helping other women to do the same, all while sharing the ins and outs of raw and real life. I want women, like you, to know that you aren’t alone, you aren't behind, and you aren't less than. I want us all to love our lives, dream big, and create our own unique versions of freedom.
